Wayne Metro Community Action Agency
Wayne Metropolitan Community Action Agency (Wayne Metro) is one of the most forward-thinking community action agencies in the country. With a budget of $40 million, the organization sought to design, launch, and manage its first collaborative fund – the Detroit Residents First Fund. We served as thought partner and consultant providing strategy development, governance support, and project management.
University of Michigan Center for the Education of Women+
Established in 1964, CEW+ is a pioneering university women’s center designed to serve the needs of women and underserved individuals by providing resources to help them reach their academic, and professional potential. The organization sought to explore the expansion of advocacy training efforts and retained us to conduct stakeholder outreach, identify best practices and help build consensus regarding future programmatic design.
MACC Development
MACC Development is a Christian community development corporation committed to the holistic revitalization of Detroit’s 48214 community, block by block, neighbor by neighbor. The Board of Directors sought support in managing an unexpected transition in its leadership and the subsequent quest to find the organization’s next Executive Director. We served as trusted counsel throughout the process and as a mentor to the new leader.
Downtown Detroit Partnership
DDP convenes business, philanthropic, and government partners to drive engagement, development, and programs throughout Downtown’s urban core. The organization sought to launched a collaborative initiative, known as the East Jefferson Corridor Collaborative to transform East Jefferson Avenue into a pedestrian-friendly, multi-modal street. For three years, we managed all aspects of the initiative and cultivated external partnerships with community and philanthropic stakeholders on their behalf.
